Behind the book

Behind the book: CLAIMED

How a dark romance found its look, its interior and its six storefronts.

Romance readers know exactly what they want from a cover, and they can tell in a thumbnail whether a book is for them. CLAIMED had to signal danger, glamour and a crown worth fighting over.

The cover

Deep crimson, a shattered crown and an elegant serif title: every element points at the genre without copying anyone.

The interior

Clean, generous pages that make a long read feel easy. It's the part readers notice least and feel most.

Receiving my first copy was a proud moment and that feeling is what every author deserves.
